Job: Faith in the Fire

Four two-hour sessions through Job 1–42 (NIV)

4 sessions · each one downloadable on its own

Session 1Job 1–2 · October 7, 2026

The Test

Job is introduced as a man of rare integrity, and then the veil is pulled back on a scene he never saw: an accuser in the heavenly assembly challenging whether Job's faith is real or simply bought. In one day Job loses his livestock, his servants, and all ten of his children. Days later he loses his health. He grieves, he worships, and he does not charge God with wrongdoing.

Session 2Job 3–14 · October 14, 2026

Honest Lament

Job finally breaks the seven-day silence, and what pours out is lament — raw, unpolished grief that curses the day of his birth but never curses God. His friends then answer with a tidy theology: the innocent prosper, so suffering must prove sin. The debate begins, and it will run for twenty-eight chapters.

Session 3Job 15–31 · October 21, 2026

The Cry for a Redeemer

The second and third rounds of the debate grow shorter and sharper. The friends move from mistaken comfort to open accusation, inventing crimes Job never committed. Job holds to his integrity and reaches past the debate for someone to stand between him and God — a witness in heaven, a mediator, and a Redeemer who lives.

Session 4Job 32–42 · October 28, 2026

God Speaks, Job Sees

A young man named Elihu speaks first. Then the Lord answers Job out of the whirlwind — not with an explanation, but with himself. Job sees, repents, and is restored, and the man who was accused is the one who must intercede for the friends who accused him.
